Our Story

From Mirna's Kitchen to Your Table

Gourmet Saad is a Lebanese catering and home cooking business rooted in Fanar, Lebanon. Founded by chef Mirna Saad in 2012, it was built on a simple idea: that the best food comes from a kitchen where someone actually cares.

The Story of Gourmet Saad

Before opening Gourmet Saad, Mirna spent years working in some of Lebanon's top restaurants, refining her technique and deepening her knowledge of Lebanese cuisine. She learned the importance of using fresh, quality ingredients — and never taking shortcuts. She also learned what Lebanese families actually want: honest, generous food that tastes like home.

In 2012, Mirna opened her own kitchen in Fanar, starting with daily home-cooked dishes for families and gradually expanding to catering for events. Word spread quickly. Neighbors recommended her to friends. Families who ordered for one dinner started calling for their celebrations. Today, Gourmet Saad is trusted for everything from quiet family lunches to large wedding receptions.

What sets Mirna apart is her refusal to compromise. Every dish is cooked fresh on the day it is ordered. The spice blends are her own, developed over years of testing and tasting. The portions are generous — a Lebanese kitchen does not send guests away hungry. And the service is personal — when you order from Gourmet Saad, you are speaking directly with the people who cook your food.

More than a decade later, the kitchen remains in Fanar, but the reach has grown. Gourmet Saad now serves Metn, Jounieh, Antelias, and Beirut, and has catered hundreds of events including weddings, engagements, first communions, Christmas dinners, corporate lunches, and private family gatherings.

Our Cooking Philosophy

Fresh Every Day
We cook every day from scratch. No frozen ingredients, no pre-prepared meals left in the fridge. If you order today, you eat today's food.
Honest Ingredients
We buy fresh produce from local markets and use quality meat and olive oil. We believe the quality of what goes in is the quality of what comes out.
Generous Portions
The Lebanese table is about abundance. Our tanjara portions are designed to be generous — enough for four to six people, with leftovers welcome.
