Made entirely from scratch, Mirna's lasagna is the real thing — no jarred sauces, no shortcuts. Layers of pasta, a slow-cooked meat bolognese built with good Lebanese technique, and a creamy handmade béchamel are assembled carefully and baked in a big tray until bubbling, golden, and fragrant.
The meat sauce is properly built: the beef is browned in stages, the aromatics are cooked down slowly, and the sauce simmers until rich and concentrated. The béchamel is made by hand, stirred until silky, and seasoned generously. Each layer is assembled with care so every slice has the right balance of pasta, meat, and cream sauce.
The result is a lasagna with genuine depth of flavour — the Lebanese home cook's confident take on an Italian classic. It travels and reheats beautifully, making it a popular choice for events, family lunches, and gatherings where you need to feed a crowd well. One big tray serves 4–5 people.
